NEW IN 2024 | Meet of Champions

Divisions 1 & 2: Four (4) Heats for 32 Swimmers + 2 alternates

Divisions 3 & 4: Three (3) Heats for 24 Swimmers + 2 alternates

How did we come up with this? FBISD’s ridiculous price increases for their athletic (and school) facilities after we notified our SHRSL teams (post-season in 2023) caused the SHRSL Board to limit the time spent on meets. We considered the total number of swimmers in each Division and set the number of heats for MOC accordingly. To achieve similar numbers/balance, we moved 2 smaller D3 teams to share pool space with D4.

To be fair and inclusive of ALL swimmers, we are taking times from across the 2024 Season and making them available for Meet of Champion (MOC) consideration. Any legal time (event must have been completed legally at least 1x during the course of the season) by any legal swimmer (must have competed in 2 meets) will be considered, and the top 32 and/or top 24 (depending on Division), will make up our 2024 Meet of Champions Meets. Top Times from across the season will be posted the Tuesday following Meet 5 (weather permitting). Coaches & Teams will be allowed to make scratches (swimmer can’t compete at MOC, vacations, sickness, too many events, etc), so these lists will change and be reposted.

2024 Specifics & Entry Directions

TEAMS+COACHES: If your swimmer placed in top 32, please enter them in your Swimtopia MOC File unless they are not attending or have scratched the event. If you have a swimmer outside of the Top 24/32 (depending on Division) and show on this list, please shares us meet availability. They are considered alternates as we work through any scratches (thus the top 50 shares in each division)!

WE NEED ALL SCRATCHES EMAILED to CHRISTINE (on the Division emails)

Send every single scratch to us regardless of reason. With the new format and we see a swimmer on the list but not entered in the meet, we need to KNOW they are scratched – we are trying to help the process with checks and balances. We will not have time to question this every time, so please, if you get a scratch a swimmer, remove your swimmer and immediately email us the info – make sure to indicate if they are scratching all events or just one!
